A new public-private partnership has been formed to give greater incentives for residents, businesses and public agencies in the county to save water by ditching natural grass in favor of artificial turf. The San Diego County Water Authority announced that it had forged a deal with five turf installation companies to offer discounts on products and installation services to customers citing the Water Authority’s program. The companies will take 10% off the cost of materials and installation for customers, offering an incentive that had previously been notable for not being available.
