Eco Chemical’s TempLine paint used at NFL Scouting Combine

Eco Chemical TempLine has been the choice of field paint for the NFL Combine for the past several years. Only one pallet of paint has been needed in past years to meet the field painting needs for the event. This year, however, Eco Chemical was asked to send three pallets.

Event organizers intend to draw more attention to the event, making it something sports enthusiasts will look forward to watching every year. Their vision covers every aspect of the event, including the field marking plan. In addition to painting a main logo in center field, both end zones will be completely painted in blue.

Lucas Oil Stadium Field Coordinator, Ed Kroics, has been working with Eco Chemical TempLine products for several years, so for Kroics, it was the natural choice. “Overall they’re a very solid product, they’re very dependable, very reliable and they definitely have a paint that I trust – no matter what strength I use it’s going to stick to the turf,” said Kroics.

The field preparation calls for the use of several TempLine products. Jeff Fisher, the Business Division Manager for TempLine Athletic Field Marking Systems, explains, “Between athletes, the media, and everyone in between, that field is going to have a lot of wear and tear over the weekend, so we set them up with a complete field preparation plan, including clear base, pre-game, and our original formula synthetic paint to get the job done.”

Each February, hundreds of the very best college football players are invited to the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, where executives, coaches, scouts and doctors from all 32 NFL teams conduct an intense, four-day job interview in advance of the NFL Draft. Events include: 40-yard dash, bench press, vertical jump, broad jump, 3-cone drill, and shuttle run.
