“Increasingly, turf managers are being asked to take on responsibilities that go way beyond the traditional scope of turf management,” said Scott Welge, head of marketing for Bayer’s T&O business. “It is important for us to be there for professionals where they are in greatest need of information and technical solutions – be it on the course or during a customer visit.”
Bayer developed the Backed by Bayer app to arm turfgrass professionals with the tools for success, formatted to best complement the ways they are doing business. Turf managers can search troublesome weeds, turf diseases and insect pests to identify the problem and recommended treatment. In addition, the app offers comprehensive product information, a rate calculator, weather information and access to Bayer sales representatives, distributors and current promotions.
