As Act Global has grown from humble beginnings to sales in 70 countries and manufacturing on three continents; the company celebrates its 10th year in business this month.
Directors of Act Global John Baize and Chris Clapham attribute the company’s success to their wide network of industry affiliations, as well as their continual focus on research and product development and anticipating market needs.
“As Act Global celebrates our 10th anniversary, I can look back proudly on how our company has developed and all we have accomplished,” said Clapham. “I appreciate our staff members and industry partnerships for being the core to our success and influencing our strategy to stay ahead of the latest industry trends.”
“Our goal at Act Global has always been to deliver long-term quality and satisfaction for our customers and end users,” said Baize. This focus has earned the company ISO 9001 Quality Certified Manufacturing and status as a founding member of the FIFA Preferred Producer for Football Turf initiative. Baize said the company is actively cultivating demand for FIFA Quality standards around the world and in the U.S. through natural grass benchmarking for all sports, field testing and quality installation partnerships.
Act Global has installed artificial turf in stadiums of all types—professional stadiums, high schools, community fields and underdeveloped regions around the world—allowing millions of players and children access to high quality sports surfaces. Baize noted it has also been a privilege to support global charitable groups which are impacting lives through medicine, emergency relief, food, education and economic development.
While the company found its beginnings in sports turf, the company has entered new market segments with specialized systems for landscaping, aviation and landfill applications. Act Global’s most recent product development, LiteEarth, is a synthetic turf geomembrane liner used for long-term closure of landfills and other earth capping applications. LiteEarth provides a natural looking cover, while significantly reducing costs over traditional landfill covers.
Over the last decade, company highlights include:
