Team Zoysia International, founded by turf industry experts Dr. Milt Engelke and Arthur Milberger, has been named the exclusive international licensing agent for all proprietary Zoysiagrasses developed by Bladerunner Farms, the world’s largest independently owned zoysiagrass research and development facility.
Team Zoysia International, LLC with its office in Bay City, Texas is a firm created to offer overseas turfgrass licensing services, including sod farm licensing and golf course nursery programs, for sod producers and golf course developers outside of the United States.
Team Zoysia International draws on the extensive combined expertise of the company’s founders to offer consulting services for overseas firms utilizing zoysiagrass on their projects.
Dr. Milt Engelke is widely regarded as one of the turf industry’s foremost experts in zoysiagrass. Dr. Engelke spent more than 30 years as a turf researcher, professor and breeder specializing in zoysiagrass with the Texas A&M University System. He has spoken worldwide on the subject and has published countless peer reviewed papers on zoysiagrass research and management. Dr. Engelke traveled all over Asia collecting zoysiagrass samples and developed new, improved zoysiagrass varieties for use in landscape, golf and sports field applications.
Arthur Milberger has spent his entire life in the Turf industry and often says ‘I was just fortunate to have mentors like my father, F.J. Milberger, who originated commercial turfgrass sod farming in Texas. Milberger’s experience in turfgrass covers every segment of the industry—from grassing hundreds of golf and sportsfield projects across the U.S and abroad, to founding the largest merger consolidation of turf growers in the turf business. He served as Presidents of Turf Producers of Texas and Turfgrass Producers International, among other industry associations.
