STMA is a community partner with the Green Sports Alliance, a non-profit organization with a mission to help sports teams, venues and leagues enhance their environmental performance.


The Alliance is holding its third annual Green Sports Alliance Summit in New York City, August 26-28, 2013 at the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge. STMA is sending two members to represent the association: Kevin Trotta, Sports Turf Specialist with Global Sports Alliance, and Rich Watson, Grounds Supervisor with Pine Hill Public Schools. Trotta was STMA’s Environmental Committee Chair in 2010-2011, and Watson is a current member of that committee, serving as a subcommittee chair.
