Precision Laboratories hires water management expert

Precision Laboratories, manufacturers of specialty chemistries that enhance plants, seeds, soil and water for the agricultural and turf industries, announced the placement of Paul Bially into a new position, technical lead – water management.

“Paul is an experienced technical specialist. We’re excited to have him lead our field development of water management products,” said Rick Wohlner, president of Precision Laboratories. “He’s a dedicated resource to help develop new products, assess field conditions and customize treatment strategies. As we continue our leadership in water management, Paul’s contributions will bring great value to our customers.”

Water supply and quality are global issues. The agriculture and turf industries use about 82 percent of the fresh water in the United States. Enhancing water use efficiency, while improving yields, represents a major opportunity and high value for users and society at-large. Bially will work closely with universities, third parties and customers on water research projects. He is proficient in the use of surfactants and polymers to improve irrigation efficiency and root zone delivery of inputs.

Since the mid-1990’s, Precision Laboratories has led the turf industry with their line of soil surfactants helping turf managers reduce water consumption and enhance efficient irrigation. The company recently sponsored education sessions at the 2013 Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) Conference held in San Diego, addressing best practices in water management and sustainability, among other topics.
