TURFAX was prepared by Dr. James B Beard of International Sports Turf Institute, Inc. with the intended goal to “provide international turf specialists with a network for current information about turf”. TURFAX ran from 1993-2002, and although it originated as a faxed document to International Sports Turf Institute Affiliates, it later expanded to a printed and mailed publication.
