Jacobsen recognized its top-performing dealers and salespeople during the recent Golf Industry Show in San Diego.
Jacobsen’s Dealer of the Year award went to O.J. Compagnie, a Canadian-based dealer with more than 60 years in the industry. The top honor is based on a dealer’s sales growth, market penetration and market share.
Scott Donnelly, Chairman, President and CEO of Textron, in San Diego to attend the 2013 Golf Industry Show, spoke to Jacobsen’s dealer network during the awards ceremony.
“It was a special treat for our dealers to hear from Scott Donnelly,” said Ric Stone, Vice President of Sales for Jacobsen. “He gave an impassioned and inspiring talk about how important it is for us to continue our positive momentum, increase our visibility, and build more relationships with customers. It was the perfect capstone on a night where we celebrate success and look ahead to tomorrow.”
Individual dealer salesperson awards went to Dave Fleming of Golf Ventures (Florida), Nathan Cobb of C&M (Texas, New Mexico and Colorado) and Paul Turner of G.C. Duke (Canada).
Other award highlights included Golf Ventures, who was recognized for 20 years in business. Baker Vehicle Systems (Ohio) was given an award commemorating 25 years in business and Lawn & Golf Supply Co. (Pennsylvania and Delaware) was bestowed an award for 75 years in business. Wilfred MacDonald (New York, New Jersey) picked up the Dealer Service of the Year award.
Awards for outstanding sales achievements went to C&M and two Latin American Jacobsen dealers: JACH USA (Venezuela) and ProGolf (Brazil).
Asia-Pacific dealers recognized were Mikuni (Japan), who picked up the Asia-Pacific Dealer of the Year award, PowerTurf (New Zealand) went home with the Dealer Service of the Year award and Shiriro Equipment (Thailand) received the Sales Conquest award.
