Erik Sides appointed as executive director of the EETC

The Board of Directors of the Equipment and Engine Training Council (EETC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Erik Sides as Executive Director of the EETC. The appointment follows the retirement of Jim Roche and is effective immediately.


Erik Sides has been in the power equipment industry for the past 15 years, working as a training manager for turf equipment manufacturer Jacobsen. In addition to developing technical training programs, manuals and videos for turf equipment, Erik also worked closely with engine manufacturers including Kubota, Briggs & Stratton and others.


Erik has been an active EETC board member for the past 8 years.


“Erik has been a very involved, influential and respected EETC board member,” said outgoing Executive Director Jim Roche. “With Erik serving as Executive Director, I believe I am leaving the EETC in great hands. He has the knowledge, experience and respect to keep the EETC moving in the right direction.”


EETC is grateful to Jim Roche for his 12 year tenure as Executive Director. “Jim played a big role in getting the EETC where it is today,” said Ed Cole, President EETC. “It was his vision that helped expand our reach and create the respected organization that the EETC has become today.”
