Jim Sluiter to serve as e‐par USA’s Florida rep and sustainability specialist

Jim Sluiter, most‐recently Staff Ecologist and Manager of Audubon International’s Cooperative Sanctuary Program, has agreed to join e‐par USA as the organization’s Florida Regional Representative and Sustainability Specialist.

“We are incredibly pleased to have Jim working with us to further our mission in Florida and the immediate Southeast Region,” states Kevin A. Fletcher, Ph.D., President & CEO of e‐par USA, Inc. “I worked with Jim for over five years and know first‐hand the skill and passion he brings to an organization. When the opportunity came to us to have him join the e‐par USA team, we jumped at the chance to gain his expertise and leadership. He has a wide range of experience as an ecologist having worked throughout the United States, is an excellent educator and speaker, and is a well‐respected professional. It’s a home‐run for us and will serve our growing membership base well.”

Earlier this year, e‐par USA announced the launch of the organization’s Environmental Management System (EMS) for Golf in the United States, after a decade of use under the e‐par banner in over thirty countries. To support the launch and growth of this environmental management platform, e‐par USA is building a network of regional sustainability experts to deliver training and services, offer on‐ site consultation, and provide EMS verification.

“I’m excited and honored to collaborate with Dr. Fletcher in the growth of Environmental Management System (EMS) adoption in the golf industry and delivery of related environmental tools, education, services, and training,” says Sluiter. “We have a shared vision of the value that the EMS approach provides to any enterprise and understand the importance of helping to deliver tangible, measurable environmental results for golf facility managers, sports facility staff, park managers, and others. I’m eager to build on my last fifteen years of experience in order to help turf and landscape professionals in an even more substantial way.”
