Turface Athletics still accepting nominations for Annual Field Maintenance awards, scholarships
Turface Athletics is reminding coaches and sports field managers that entries can still be submitted for annual field maintenance and scholarship awards. Deadline for entries is Oct. 1
The awards are open to any American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) member and seek to recognize outstanding field maintenance at the high school and college levels, while the scholarships provide assistance to a school at both levels in need of field improvements.
Oct. 1 is the last day entries will be accepted online or via mail for the Turface Athletics/ABCA 2012 Field Maintenance Award and Scholarship awards.
The awards will be presented and the scholarships will be announced at the ABCA convention in Chicago on Jan. 5, 2013.
Recipients of the Field Maintenance Award will receive a free pallet of Turface® and $400 for future field maintenance efforts. Scholarship recipients will receive three tons of Turface and a total of $500 over two years for use on maintenance equipment and supplies.
Turface has been partnering with ABCA for more than a decade as one of its many initiatives designed to keep America playing safely.
