Texas Rangers add Jacobsen to roster

Jacobsen will provide turf maintenance equipment to the Texas Rangers Major League Baseball team. The equipment, sold through Jacobsen dealer Luber Bros., will be used to maintain the playing field of Rangers Ballpark.

“To have our equipment maintaining the turf of such a prestigious and successful organization as the Texas Rangers is truly an honor,” said David Withers, President of Jacobsen. “And to see that the Rangers are taking advantage of the superior technology of our ECLIPSE2 walk-behind mowers and the Eclipse 322 riding mowers is especially exciting.”

The Texas Rangers bought a large package of Jacobsen equipment from Luber Bros., including two Eclipse 322 riding turf mowers (installed with gas/battery hybrid engines), one Tri-King trim reel mower, one GA-24 aerator, one ECLIPSE2 walking turf mower and four Cushman Truckster utility vehicles.

“I’m really excited about the Eclipse 322 riding turf mowers with hybrid engines,” said Dennis Klein, Director of Grounds for the Texas Rangers. “In addition to significant fuel savings, we also have peace of mind knowing the risk of hydraulic leaks on our field is completely eliminated.”
