Pure Seed gets exclusive distribution rights to Penn A-1 Bentgrass

Tee-2-Green announces that it has granted exclusive distribution rights to its Penn A-1 creeping bentgrass variety to Pure Seed. The deal gives Pure Seed sole rights to distribute Penn A-1 and all mixtures containing the A-1 variety in all parts of the world, excluding Japan. The deal also gives Pure Seed exclusive rights to market all of the Tee-2-Green bentgrass varieties in China.

The rights to market and distribute Penn A-1 were recently released by The Scotts Company, allowing Pure Seed the opportunity to regain distribution of the variety. Tee-2-Green president, Bill Rose, and manager, Lee Habrich, are pleased that the variety has found a home at Pure Seed. “We thank all of our valued customers for their patience throughout this process. We can’t wait to get Penn A-1 onto their courses, once again,” says Rose, “Our customers are in good hands with Crystal, Lew Sharp, Russ Hayworth and the rest of the team at Pure Seed.”

Crystal Rose-Fricker, the president of Pure Seed, is eager to take control of Penn A-1 distribution. “We’re very pleased to be back in the professional turfgrass business. Our family has a long history of working only with Tee-2-Green products. We plan to only use Tee-2-Green creeping bentgrass in the future and we’re happy to offer Penn A-1 exclusively worldwide.

Penn A-1, one of the legendary Penn A and G varieties, is known for its dark green coloration, fine leaf texture, tremendous heat and cold tolerance, very high density and superior disease resistance.
