Chris Powell, Field Manager with the Cleveland Browns, is among a great lineup of speakers at Ohio State’s 15th annual sports field short course set for February 9 and 10, 2012 at the Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center in Columbus.
The 2-day course is designed for grounds staff, coaches, contractors, ADs, sports facility managers and anyone else with an interest in sports field management. The focus of topics is athlete safety, playability, economics and sustainability.
GENERAL INFO:
The course is run in conjunction with The Ohio Turfgrass Foundation (OTF) and The Ohio Sports Turf Managers Association (OSTMA). OTF’s Golf Turf Tee-off takes place at the same time so over two hundred turf professionals come together at the venue for the educational sessions and there is an evening reception at The Varsity Club so that attendees can network and solve all of turf mysteries!
Both the Sports Field Short Course and the Tee-off carry CEUs from ODA and professional associations. The cost of the courses remain the same as in previous years, parking is free, and lunches and refreshments are included in the price ($90).
