Stabilizer Solutions to host field training day

Stabilizer Solutions, Inc., a Phoenix-based soil technology company, announced that it will be holding a free, field day – teaching coaches, groundskeepers, and field designers about important new techniques and products for maintaining fields at all levels of play. Hosted by Barney Lopas, head groundskeeper for the L.A. Angels of Anaheim, this half-day training session will feature hands-on demonstrations that teach groundskeepers, coaches and field designers new ways to protect playing surfaces and optimize player performance, while ensuring safety.

Joining Lopas, is guest speaker and three-time Olympic gold medalist, Lisa Fernandez. Currently, Fernandez is the assistant women’s softball coach at the University of California Los Angeles. Fernandez and Lopas will both cover the importance of field safety and performance, as well as, share insider stories from the softball and baseball worlds.“Whether attendees maintain their own field, manage a crew, coach or even design fields, this is a great opportunity to learn how to get the best performance out of the field — or at least understand what to look for,” said Jon Hubbs, President of Stabilizer Solutions, Inc. “Stabilizer Solutions is happy to help Barney bring together experts and leading vendors to showcase the latest in professional groundskeeping technology and innovation.”
