New weed control factsheets from University of Tennessee

The UT Turfgrass Weed Science Team has put together several new factsheets on turfgrass weed control. We hope that these factsheets will serve as resources for turf managers making weed control decisions in 2011. These factsheets provide information on such things as ground ivy and white clover control, as well as herbicides for use on creeping bentgrass and ultradwarf bermudagrass putting greens. Additionally, we have developed a factsheet to provide practitioners with a reference to which they can refer individuals concerned about the safety of herbicides compared to other commonly used chemicals. The acute toxicities of various herbicides are compared to commonly used chemicals such as caffeine, nicotine, and acetic acid (i.e., vinegar).
All of these factsheets can be downloaded for free at the University of Tennessee Turfgrass Weed Science Website
