Produced in FieldTurf’s own fiber manufacturing plant, the latest innovation in artificial turf is the ‘Revolution’ artificial turf fiber. The introduction of the Revolution fiber follows the recent announcement that FieldTurf and Morton Extrusionstechnik GmbH (Morton) formed a joint venture to develop and produce the most innovative artificial turf technology in the world today. FieldTurf’s Germany-based fiber manufacturing plant is a fully integrated operation producing fibers with never seen before performance and longevity characteristics.
After years of experimentation and development, FieldTurf and Morton have unlocked the secrets to artificial fiber performance. For years, the belief throughout the turf industry has been that the shape of the fiber dictates performance and durability. While partly true, the real key to fiber performance is a combination of Polymer, Process, and Fiber Geometry. In the Revolution Fiber, FieldTurf has spared no expense in using the best – and now exclusive – polymer and processing technologies available in the market today.
“The Revolution fiber was created to ensure our clients receive the very best technology that exists in the world today,” said FieldTurf President Eric Daliere. “In working with the foremost experts, we had one goal in mind, to produce a fiber that performs extraordinarily well over the long run and delivers a superior return on investment to our customers. I’m very pleased to say we’ve done it.”
“The Revolution fiber features a proprietary polymer formulation to resist splitting and degradation complete with the strongest ultraviolet inhibitor technology in the industry,” commented Jurgen Morton-Finger, Technical Director of Morton. “A state-of-the-art extrusion process for precision manufacturing ensures the production of the industry’s strongest fiber and a radical reflection feature built into each artificial grass blade. Intricate concave & ridged construction eliminates breaking points and provides for the most natural looking fiber.”
