GCBAA to release latest version of Construction Costing Guide

The country’s premier source for information on golf course construction, the Golf Course Builders Association of America (GCBAA), is announcing the release of its Golf Course Construction and Renovation Costing Guide, Version 6.
The new guide, which will be released at the Golf Industry Show in February 2011, features average prices for more than 80 line items associated with golf course construction along with 10 manual line items for specific project needs.
“Since it was first introduced in 1996, our cost guides have been a must have for everyone involved with golf course construction and renovation,” said Paul Foley, GCBAA executive director. “Version 6 has everything an owner, developer, or superintendent would need to estimate costs. It’s just an excellent tool to use in developing a budget for a project on any scale.”
The cost guide uses the Microsoft Excel platform and features information in seven report categories. Those reports include 18-hole renovation, USGA greens renovation, tee renovation, bunker renovation, irrigation renovation, new 18-hole construction and a build-your-own-course manual mode.
To ensure cost accuracy, line-item costs are broken down by state along with an additional 39 subareas for more accurate pricing. Also featured is a new metric conversion section that enables you to view your project selection in metric units and quantities.
The GCBAA cost guide can be purchased by calling 402-476-4444 or by ordering online at www.gcbaa.org. The guide includes a copy of the GCBAA Member Directory. The cost is $100 for non-GCBAA members and $50 for members. Orders received before the show will receive a 25 percent discount.
