The American Sports Builders Association, the national organization for builders and suppliers of materials for athletic facilities, has announced the launch of its redesigned website.

ASBA launches redesigned website

The American Sports Builders Association (ASBA), the national organization for builders and suppliers of materials for athletic facilities, has announced the launch of its redesigned web site. The site, www.sportsbuilders.org, which features multiple enhancements, is expected to allow for ease of use for association members, the sports industry, media and general public.

The newly redesigned home page features easy-to-find information on each of the ASBA’s divisions, including Tennis, Track, Indoor and Fields. By clicking on the appropriate button on the home page, users can navigate to the home page for that division. Each division’s page of the web site includes contact information for the division president, links to technical articles and position papers relevant to that division, information on awards and more. In addition, each division’s page includes information on the builder certification program for that division; for example, the Fields Division’s page includes links to a list of Certified Field Builders, information on the program, and an application to take the exam.

Other features of the site include a “latest news” section with issues relevant to the sports facility construction industry. Other sections allow users to locate a builder, manufacturer or design professional, fill out an ASBA membership application or find out about the certification program, learn about upcoming meetings, get answers to frequently asked questions and purchase publications. A “media room” section allows members of the media to request technical information about sports facilities. All information on the website is presented in easy-to-read fashion and is visually attractive, adding to the user’s experience.

“The ASBA is very excited about its redesigned site,” says Sam Fisher, the association’s chairman. “We believe it serves our members, the industry and the public much better, and that it makes information easy to find and easy to understand. ASBA’s motto is ‘Build It Right,’ and we think the new site helps people learn more about that. Everyone knows a well-built facility adds to the user and spectator experience, and helps athletes perform better; with this site, we are hoping to help people understand how to have their facilities built right in the first place.”

The ASBA is a non-profit association helping designers, builders, owners, operators and users understand quality sports facility construction. The ASBA sponsors informative meetings, publishes newsletters, books and technical construction guidelines for both tennis courts and running tracks, and keeps its members aware of the latest developments in the industry. It also offers voluntary certification programs in tennis court, running track and sports fields construction.

Available at no charge is a listing of all publications offered by the Association, as well as the ASBA’s Membership Directory.
