Cranberry Township is currently seeking candidates for the position of Grounds Maintenance Manager in the Public Works Department. This professional position will oversee bargaining unit personnel and the maintenance of all Township grounds and sports turf facilities, excluding the Cranberry Highlands Golf Course. Responsibilities of this position include: developing protocol to coordinate sports field maintenance with the Sports Associations, overseeing the maintenance of landscape islands; coordinating street tree maintenance and private property areas with the Home Owners Associations and creating daily and long range scheduling of personnel, projects, budgeting and equipment and asset management. This position will also assist with the management of the winter maintenance operations. This position works independently and with minimal supervision. Knowledge of Microsoft applications, asset and financial management software is required. Qualified applicants must possess a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Sports Turf Management or related field. A minimum of six to ten years experience in Grounds Maintenance is required. Demonstrated experience in directing the application of lawn and tree maintenance chemicals and possessing a PA Pesticide license is required. A valid Driver’s license is required.
