Integrated Turf Solutions (ITS) announced that they had merged with SprinTurf, a marketer and installer of synthetic turf systems. ITS-SprinTurf will be the first fully integrated polyethylene turf manufacturer in North America. ITS operates two manufacturing facilities in the United States. The Dadeville, AL facility extrudes and twists artificial turf yarns while the Chatsworth, GA facility tufts and urethane coats finished turf. SprinTurf is headquartered in Philadelphia and has installed more than 500 fields since entering the synthetic turf industry in 1998.
In announcing the merger, Rom Reddy, managing partner of ITS-SprinTurf said, “As the first fully integrated polyethylene turf manufacturer, ITS-SprinTurf will provide the economics, logistics and uniform quality control that can only be achieved by controlling all aspects of the process from the resin pellet to the finished turf.”
ITS produces spinneret monofilament, mono tape, slit tape, nylon and texturized yarns. In addition, ITS has a full range of tufting capability as well as urethane and hot melt coating capability. There are more than 1,000 installed fields that were fully manufactured by ITS or have ITS manufactured yarns.
Andrew Kurtz of Dellacamera Capital Management, LLC said, “SprinTurf believes in the fully integrated model and is happy to partner with ITS in this high growth segment.” SprinTurf markets and installs synthetic turf systems for multiple applications such as football, soccer, baseball, rugby, playgrounds and landscaping. Some high profile SprinTurf installations include fields for the Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, United States Naval Academy, Auburn University and University of Montana.
ITS-SprinTurf will be headquartered in Chatsworth, GA and will maintain an administrative office in Philadelphia.
