University of Missouri opens new synthetic turf research plots

Redexim North America and some partners donated 7,200 square feet of synthetic turf for a new research area at the University of Missouri’s Turfgrass and Ornamental Field Day at the University’s South Farm. The area is divided into several plots and will serve to bring forth unbiased research about today’s infill systems for athletes, parents, schools, and many more. Redexim is the first manufacturer of maintenance machines to be certified member of the Synthetic Turf Council.

Paul Hollis, Executive Vice President of Redexim North America, commends Brad Fresenburg and the University of Missouri for taking pro-active measures to bring honest answers for all parties interested in synthetic turf fields. Fresenburg supervises the day-to-day operations of the MU Turfgrass Research Center and advises the MU Athletic Department on athletic field maintenance and development. His activities at the research center include the National Turfgrass Evaluation Program trials, product testing and annual field day activities.
