There will be two Seminar-on-Wheels tours before the official opening of the STMA Annual Conference and Exposition. The first tour, on Tuesday, January 12, will take participants to Central Florida University, which is the third largest university in the U.S. and has the only full-length indoor football practice facility in the state. The tour will include Bright House Network Stadium, which was completed in 2007, football practice fields and indoor facility, softball and baseball stadiums, and a track and soccer complex. The second stop will be at Disney World to take a behind-the-scenes horticultural and agricultural tour.
The Seminar-on-Wheels tour on Wed., Jan. 13, includes a nearly full day at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex, which is the top site for youth sporting events in the U.S. The Complex has hosted 1.7 million athletes since its opening in 1997. Competitors have included AAU, Pop Warner, Atlanta Braves, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While on this tour, the use of the STMA Playing Conditions Index will be demonstrated. The second stop will be at an environmentally friendly golf course.
Tours will depart at 8 a.m. each day from the Coronado Springs Resort and Convention Center in Lake Buena Vista. To register, go to www.STMA.org and choose the registration method that works the best for you.
