Tarkett Group appoints Daliere president of Sports Division

The Tarkett Group has appointed Eric P. Daliere as acting President of its sports division, Tarkett Sports. Mr. Daliere will replace Joe Fields effective immediately. Eric will be based out of the company’s corporate headquarters in Montreal.

Eric Daliere joins Tarkett Sports from KKR Capstone where he has served as a Director for nearly 10 years. Eric had been focused on helping KKR’s portfolio companies achieve their potential in terms of growth and operational excellence. He holds a B.A., with honors, from Northwestern University; and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.

During the last several months, at the request of Tarkett management, Eric has been actively conducting an in-depth strategic review of Tarkett Sports.

Tarkett CEO Michel Giannuzzi stated, “The Board believes new leadership will help to reenergize Tarkett Sports, enabling the company to realize its potential and further differentiate itself in a more competitive market for our products and services.”

Eric Daliere commented, “I am excited by the opportunity to work for a clear market leader. Many of the elements that enabled FieldTurf to change the industry and emerge as the undisputed leader remain very much in place. The objective moving forward is to leverage an already strong foundation.”

During recent months Tarkett Sports has increased its strong position in the marketplace with the opening of its new manufacturing plant and coating facility, launch of the FieldCare maintenance program, the purchase of Atlas Track & Tennis, and the introduction of the Center for Sports Surface Research at Penn State University.
