Rehbein Environmental Solutions installing World Cup turf

Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has, again, selected RESI (Rehbein Environmental Solutions) for the Netlon Advanced Turf System (ATS) installation in South Africa for the 2010 World Cup. Green Point Stadium in Green Point Commons, Cape Town, South Africa will hold 68,000 seats and have a cutting edge natural grass multi-functional athletic field that decreases sport related injuries, is extremely wear resistant and capable of supporting heavy vehicle traffic.

“RESI is proud to provide ‘Green Solutions’ as part of these world class facilities for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa” remarked Charles J. Pappas, CEO of RESI.

Netlon ATS gives the natural turf surface “memory”, allowing it to spring back into shape following heavy or active use. It is resistant to ripping and tearing and can support heavy utility vehicle traffic without developing ruts.

RESI’s first installation was completed in December of 2008 in the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
