IA Education Foundation to host 7th annual Faculty Academy

The IA Education Foundation (IAEF) will host its seventh annual Faculty Academy, June 24-26 in Omaha, Neb. at the Doubletree Hotel and Executive Meeting Center. The two-day session provides intensive classroom and field instruction in irrigation concepts and best practices. High school, community college and university faculty learn about instruction techniques and course materials that can be incorporated immediately into related classes.

The Academy is a “must attend” session for instructors who understand the growing industry demand for irrigation-trained students. Topics to be covered this year include sprinkler uniformity, sprinkler efficiency, agriculture sprinklers and precipitation rates, and more. Other highlights will include a tour of a local manufacturing facility, roundtable discussions, and the opportunity to network with other teaching professionals.

The registration deadline is June 19. Registration is free, with attendees responsible for travel and hotel expenses. The Foundation is accepting applications for a limited number of grants for travel assistance.
