Voters turned out en masse for last Tuesday’s vote on school board candidates and bond proposals, and voters had one thing to say: Now is not the time.
Montague (MI) Area Public Schools (MAPS) was the only district who got voter approval – and even then, voters went for only one of the two bond proposals.
Montague’s $1.275 million proposal for artificial turf and other athletic improvements went down by a vote of 1166-705.
