Distribution Agreements Broaden Availability of Nitamin® Nitrogen in Southeast U.S.

Georgia-Pacific Plant Nutrition announces that three distributors in the Southeast U.S. are adding Nitamin® Steady-Delivery®  plant nutrition to their existing nitrogen product lines.  The distribution agreements with Coastal AgroBusiness, Howard Fertilizer and Triangle Chemical greatly expand the availability of Nitamin nitrogen in crops and turf markets in the region.

“All three of these outstanding distributor companies have solid footprints in their respective areas of the Southeast and they are well-aligned with our strategy of supporting the agricultural and turf markets,” says Jon Mixson, national sales and marketing manager for Georgia-Pacific Plant Nutrition.  “Their market knowledge and agronomic expertise are extremely valuable as we continue to extend the benefits of Nitamin Nfusion® and Nitamin 30L fertilizers to more growers and turf managers.”

Greenville, NC-based Coastal AgroBusiness, a full-service agricultural distributor with a full line of agricultural chemicals, seed and fertilizer, will distribute Nitamin products in the Carolinas and Virginia. “We take pride in offering cutting-edge technology to our agricultural customers,” says Jim Pearce, director – product development, Coastal AgroBusiness.  “Distributing Nitamin products is an excellent opportunity for us to meet the rising demand for quality slow-release fertilizers.”

Howard Fertilizer & Chemical Company, based in Orlando, will sell Nitamin brand nitrogen to its agricultural and turf customers in Florida.  Howard is one of the largest fertilizer manufacturers in the Southeast and serves the agricultural and specialty crop markets in addition to turf and lawn care.  “Keeping pace with new technology is an integral part of our business model,” says Doug Purvis, sales manager, Howard Fertilizer.  “Adding Nitamin products to our portfolio was a natural for us as we continue to build on our innovative fertilizer solutions for our customers.”

Triangle Chemical Company, headquartered in Macon, GA, will cover the Georgia and Florida markets with Nitamin fertilizer distribution.  Triangle is a distributor of crop protection chemicals, specialty chemicals, seed and fertilizers for agricultural and specialty crops.  “With Nitamin fertilizer in our portfolio, we can strengthen our role in providing innovative solutions for more efficient and profitable fruit and vegetable production,” says Spencer Black, sales and marketing coordinator, Triangle Chemical Company.

About Nitamin fertilizers

Manufactured by Georgia-Pacific and distributed by Wilbur-Ellis Co. and others, Nitamin 30L and Nitamin Nfusion Steady-Delivery liquid slow-release plant nutrition products provide a steady supply of nitrogen to the plant, minimizing N fluctuations that have a negative impact on plant growth and quality.  Nitamin 30L, a blend of slowly available and readily available N components, was developed for use as a foliar-applied fertilizer for use on crops and turfgrass.  Nitamin Nfusion was designed to be blended with quick-release liquid N fertilizers to provide an economical high-efficiency nitrogen source based on seasonal crop N demand and regional growing conditions.
