Oregon STMA becomes 32nd chapter of organization

STMA has affiliated its 32nd Chapter, the Oregon Sports Turf Managers Association (STMA). The chapter was officially recognized as an affiliated chapter in April and will be presented its inaugural gavel during the Chapter Officers Training Session in January at the annual conference. To be an affiliated chapter, 25 or more sports turf managers/academics must provide signatures of support of its formation; the chapter must develop bylaws, incorporate as a non-profit entity in their state, elect officers, pay an affiliation fee, and hold a minimum of four events each year.
STMA also offers many resources and benefits to its affiliated chapters including a $500 annual stipend for chapter enhancement activities, such as educational programs or computer software. For more information on what STMA provides to its chapters, click here.
