Watering natural turf ball fields will become a more expensive proposition in California’s Yucca Valley if the Hi-Desert Water District Board of Directors adopts a proposal to increase rates in June.
Affected will be Tri-Valley Little League, Joshua Springs Christian School, the Town of Yucca Valley and the Boys and Girls Club of the Hi-Desert.
According to Frank Luckino, Hi-Desert Water District’s chief financial officer, based on their prior 12 months of usage, Tri-Valley Little League’s annual water bill will go up $3,000 and Joshua Springs Christian School’s bill will jump $2,400.
