Turfco introduces new walking TriWave overseeder

Turfco introduces the new Walking TriWave Overseeder that combines all of the unique features of Turfco’s TriWave 60-inch Overseeder in a walking version. In addition to the patented WaveBlade technology, the Walking TriWave Overseeder offers new optional greens blades, new transport speed and patent-pending technology that keeps seed rate consistent regardless of ground speed.  Powerful and fast enough to complete projects around the entire course, this new overseeder enables operators to handle all kinds of seed from a bent to a creeping red fescue. Operators can seed while turning making this the most versatile overseeder available.

“The new Walking TriWave allows superintendents to do a variety of different jobs with one machine,” said Scott Kinkead, executive vice president for Turfco Manufacturing. “Because of its unique ability to seed while turning, it allows you to complete one pass around the collars, seed the greens and approaches or even complete small renovation projects. We worked hard to make this new unique overseeder exceptionally maneuverable, and simple controls make it easy to operate.”

The unique design of the Walking TriWave combined with patented WaveBladeTM technology allows this to be the first seeder to effectively turn while seeding. This patented seed delivery system puts seed directly into the slit, reducing waste and increasing germination. Combined with new optional greens blades, slits are even narrower and cause even less disruption to turf while maximizing germination. The new overseeder can easily seed collars, greens, roughs, fairways and teeboxes with minimal disruption and maximum productivity.

The new transport speed allows operators to quickly travel from different course locations. It also locks out the blade drives.

The new patent-pending drive for the seedbox essentially functions like a ground drive. It effectively keeps the seed rate the same while matching the forward speed. The seedbox design works well with everything from the smallest bent grass to the largest creeping red fescue.

Simplified controls and new transport make it easy to operate and turn. One button engages the blades, drops them down and opens the seedbox ─ all at one time. Two, 18-inch wide patented floating seed heads optimize 1 ½-inch blade spacing delivering maximum germination. A 27 hp Briggs & Stratton® Vanguard engine is powerful enough for roughs or fairways. www.turfco.com.
