Franklin Regional school maintenance workers have resorted to gluing and stitching together parts of its artificial turf to get ready for fall sports.


The $1.1 million field made its debut when this year’s senior class was in third grade. The turf is nearing the end of its life span, and a district committee has approved spending as much as $750,000 next year to replace it.
