At the Baseball Winter Meetings Annual Awards Lunch on December 8, the STMA Minor League Sports Turf Managers of the Year will be presented with their award. On behalf of STMA, CEO Kim Heck will be making the presentations.

• Jarad Alley, Albuquerque Isotopes (AAA) Pacific Coast League
• Brock Phipps, Springfield Cardinals (AA) Texas League
• Greg Burgess, Greenville Drive (A) South Atlantic League
• Israel Hinojosa, III, Greenville Astros (Short Season/Rookie) Appalachian League

Each of the 16 Minor Leagues select a sports turf manager of their league from all the teams in the league. Those winners are invited to submit an entry to the STMA Minor League Baseball Sports Turf Manager of the Year Awards Program. The STMA Awards Committee judges the entries based on the fields performance, cultural practices, game day routine, field use, staffing, budgeting, resources, etc.
