Cambridge International features drag mat at NRPA

Cambridge, MD—Cambridge International, an industry leader in metal product fabrication including drag mats, conveyor belting, and wire cloth announces its participation in the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) Congress & Exposition from October 14-18, 2008 in Baltimore, MD.

Thousands of park and recreation leaders, advocates, partners and suppliers will be available to provide educational and networking opportunities.

Cambridge International will be exhibiting their newly designed drag mats which feature a heavier 11-gauge rod, instead of the conventional 13-gauge.  Another innovative design feature is the improved edge treatment from smashed to clinched, which prevents snagging.  These design enhancements increase mat strength and prevent distortion of the mats.

Another benefit of the new Cambridge product is its increased functionality.  The patent-pending Rivet-Free U-bar design allows for a truly reversible mat, with no more rivets digging into the field or turf surface.

Manager of Market & Business Development for Cambridge International, Marcy Murphy, explains that “In our research, we found that grounds-keepers were looking for easier to use mats that produced a better final result.  The industry had gone far too many years without any meaningful performance enhancements being introduced.  We determined that we could apply our engineering skills to dramatically upgrade mat designs and deliver a product that truly performs at the quality level that grounds-keepers want.”

Styles such as the 1 x 1, 3 x 1, and variable mesh openings, as well as flexible and rigid mats will be available for attendees to see at the Expo. Cambridge Drag Mats provide superior durability and performance.  Proven to out last the competition, our mats save time & money.
