FRISCO, CO—The Summit County School Board is offering to sell naming rights for a new synthetic turf field at its football stadium for $200,000.
The stadium in Frisco would still be called Tiger Stadium, but the football field itself would bear the donor’s name.
Naming rights would last for the life of the turf, expected to be 12 years.
The board voted 4-2 on Wednesday to offer naming rights. The board would have to approve the name.
Installing the turf is expected to cost $1.2 million total. A group raising money for the project hopes the new surface will be in place by next fall.
