Pioneer Athletics featured on “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” for 3rd time

Cleveland, OH-Pioneer Athletics helped on a project featured on the February 17th episode of ABC-TV’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

This is the third project Pioneer has worked on for the two-time Emmy-winning television show.  This time the call came from Louisville, Kentucky. The crew helped the Hughes family with a blind and disabled son who has overcome challenges to become a musician and inspiring leader as part of the University of Louisville band. The field crew at the University of Louisville helped renovate the practice field the band practices on. Pioneer supplied the paint and stencils for all the logos, congratulations to the University of Louisville Field Crew for their hard work.

The first project Pioneer worked on took them to North Pole, Alaska, where Pioneer worked overtime to install a football field in the backyard of the lucky family.  After successfully completing their first Extreme Makeover: Home Edition project, Pioneer received a call requesting their help on the project in North Dakota.   Having done the Alaska project, we knew what to expect, so we got right to work to come up with a plan of attack.   Pioneer worked at Minot’s Knights of Columbus Field to help with much needed renovations and to accommodate The Dream Catchers a team comprised of special-needs children, many of whom are wheelchair bound.

With a third project Extreme Makeover: Home Edition behind them, Pioneer is looking to get back to what they do best – making great paint.  These past Extreme Makeover projects have been a great experience for Pioneer. The Louisville, Kentucky episode entitled, “Hughes Family”, aired on Sunday, February 17th, at 8 p.m. E.S.T. on ABC.
